The Nickelodeon Theatre will pay tribute to Heath Ledger, who died Jan. 22 at age 28. The retrospective will begin with Ledger’s first U.S. film, “10 Things I Hate About You,” a remake of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” at 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. It also stars Julia Stiles, David Krumholtz and Gabrielle Union.
In the second film, “A Knight’s Tale,” Ledger plays a young Medieval peasant who competes in jousting despite his social status and vies for Lady Jocelyn’s (Shannyn Sossamon) affections. The movie shows at 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.
Playing throughout the week (Feb. 1-7) is “I’m Not There,” a unique take on the life of iconic musician Bob Dylan. Ledger plays one of the six characters who showcase different aspects of the singer’s life. Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere and Christian Bale also star.
