This "American Idol" spin-off has drawn small audiences, but it has three terrific bands going for a record deal tonight.

There's Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, a 12-piece horn band with a great singer. And Sixwire, a country band (which performed locally at the Common Ground festival) with strong harmonies and skilled guitar-playing.

Then there are The Clark Brothers, with immense potential. Individually, these three have backed Carrie Underwood and SheDaisy; together, they give us passionate singing, pop-idol faces and aw-shucks manners. They could go far.
