ABC received good news when "Women's Murder Club" premiered Friday night. The Angie Harmon drama was the night's most-watched show, averaging 10.9 million, according to ratings released Monday afternoon.

"Women's Murder Club" upstaged two other dramas in the 9 p.m. time slot: CBS' new "Moonlight" (with 7.1 million) and NBC's struggling "Friday Night Lights" (with 5.5 million). Could it be that "Friday Night Lights," one of TV's best series, is on the wrong night?

CBS was the most-watched network Friday, averaging 8.4 million. The rest: ABC with 7.9 million, Fox with 7.8 million for the Boston-Cleveland baseball game, NBC with 7.6 million, The CW with 4.5 million catching wrestling, and MyNetworkTV with 800,000.

In the 18-to-49 age group, Fox was the leader. The rest: CBS placed second, with ABC and NBC tying for third.

By time slot ...

At 8 p.m., NBC's "Deal or No Deal" ruled with 10.2 million. CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" ran second with 8.9 million. NBC's relocated "20/20" drew just 5.7 million.

At 10 p.m., CBS' "Numb3rs" drew 9.2 million fans. NBC's "Las Vegas" attracted 7.2 million. ABC's "Men in Trees" debuted to 7.1 million, and note the dropoff from "Women's Murder Club."

On Saturday, baseball was the main draw in prime time. Fox averaged 8.5 million in prime time with the Cleveland-Boston game. (Later numbers will give a more accurate count.)

NASCAR on ABC was the stop for 6.4 million. CBS averaged nearly 6.4 million with repeats and a new "48 Hours Mystery." NBC's night of reruns averaged just 3.6 million.
